AN/GRC-9

Radio Set AN/GRC-9 is a low-power radio transmitter and receiver that may be used in either ground or vehicular installations. The radio set receives and transmits continuous-wave (cw), amplitude-modulated (am), and modulated continuous-wave (mcw) radio-frequency (rf) signals in the 2 to 12 megacycle (mc) range.
It is basically a improved version of the WW II BC-1306 radio.

The AN/GRC-9 has been contructed by different US, German and French manufacturers. The radio has been used by US and NATO forces (Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands and Portugal). The former Yugoslav army the JNA and even the contra rebel forces in Nicaraqua. The JNA used the original US supplied radio and refurbished it with their own paint and markings.

LV-80

The Leistungs Verstärker LV-80 or the power amplifier LV-80 was developed in Germany in the 1960s by the Bundeswehr and the Dutch army .

LV-80 is the HF amplifier of the GRC-9. GRC-9 plus LV-80 form the radio set "100Watt/GRC-9". All the operating modes of the GRC-9 can be amplified.

Frequency range:

2... 12 MHz in 3 ranges:

Frequency 1: 6.6... 12 MHZ

Frequency 2: 3.6... 6.6 MHz

Frequency 3: 2... 3.6 MHz

RT 3600 C-set

RT-3600 is an VHF wide-band analog military radio, developed for the Dutch Army by PhilipsTelecommunications Industry (PTI) in Hilversum (Netherlands) during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The RT-3600 was an extremely robust radio and, although it was phased-out in the late 1990s, many of them are still used today.

The RT-3600 radio is often used in combination with other units, such as the IC-3620 intercom and the AF-6320 speaker unit. Furthermore, a wide variety of accessories are available for it, such as junction boxes, microphones, speakers, handsets, headsets, etc.

SEM 35

Very ruggedly built field radio made for the German armed forces. Covers 10 and 6 meter ham bands and even CB. RF power limited to 1 W. The SEM-35 requires 24V DC but will also work from 13.8V. Internal battery compartment takes regular U2 type batteries. Outer casing is waterproof

UK/PRC 320 .... The Legend

An HF/USB/AM/CW transceiver built by Plessey and issued down to company level. The set operates in the 2-29.9999 MHz range with a possible 280,000 channels. RF power output is a selectable 3 or 30 watts.

The PRC 320 can be used as a manpack (backpack) or vehicular radio.

The PRC320 can be used with a number of different Clansman antennas that are supplied with the set; A 2.4m whip antenna is supplied for portable manpack operation using HFgroundwave communication. Alternatively a dipole antenna can be used for HF Skywave operation.

The set includes a built-in Antenna Tuning Unit (ATU), this electrically matches the whip antenna length to the radio frequency in use. The ATU can also match any other wire antenna to the operating frequency. The set together with its ancillaries (batteries, cables, audio gear and antenna parts) together make up the complete equipment schedule.

Current Users. Clansman HF Sets are still in use by Radio Amateurs. Many of the sets have found their way into amateur service since the Clansman system became obsolete.
